Oaten & Hoffman T/A O & H Holden is a locally owned family business and has been owned/operated by Brian Hoffman for around 20 years. We pride ourselves on our “Good old fashioned service” and we try and make any visit to us as pleasant and trouble free as possible. To help this we offer a free pick up and delivery service from most local areas and can even arrange pick up and delivery of vehicles from Lismore and Casino.
Our Service Department
We have recently relocated service departments and now occupy a newly refurbished modern workshop. Our new service department is fully equipped to deal with any problem you may have with your vehicle and have on-site brake machining capabilities among many other specialist equipment as mentioned below. We are environmentally conscious and as a result the new workshop meets and exceeds the required environmental regulations.
Our capabilities
At Oaten & Hoffman we can service any make or model of vehicle without effecting your new car warranty. We have extensive experience in diagnostics, as well as mechanical and electronic repairs to all vehicles. We can carry out any Holden or Daewoo new car warranty work and most used car warranty work that is backed by an insurance agent. We can also perform most auto electrical related work, incl. vehicle electrical diagnosis and repair as well as fitting of driving lights and car audio products and immobilisers to name a few. We can conduct registration inspections (Pink Slips) and perform all registration related work on site. Making us a one stop vehicle repair shop. Our Technicians
We employ local Holden Factory trained technicians. These technicians regularly attend training courses run by Holden to keep abreast with new and constantly developing technology that is packed into today's vehicles. We have recently added Daewoo to our authorized warranty and service department and our technicians are now attending course in these vehicles.

GM Tech 2 is a hand held scan tool that can be interfaced with any Holden vehicle and now most Daewoo vehicles. This can retrieve masses of data from any of the many computers on modern motor vehicles. It can also perform many programming functions and testing functions within a vehicle eg. Programming remote key functions and retrieving radio pin and key numbers.

We have all the Holden factory computer software and technical assistance to aid in quick and accurate diagnosis and repair of you Holden or Daewoo Vehicle.

A new servex digital/laser 4 head wheel aligner. This machine is capable of performing 4 wheel alignments on any vehicle with amazing accuracy. It can accompany wheel sizes of up to 19inch in diameter. With a modern software program this aligner can retrieve specifications on a wide range of vehicles and give you a printed copy of your vehicles wheel alignment measurements before the alignment and after.

Current model Fluke 199B digital oscilloscope. This high tech piece of equipment is capable of measuring and recording electrical/electronic signals of as little as 10 millivolts as quickly as 1nano second and then display these signals as a waveform on a monochrome screen. These waveforms can then be uploaded to a computer and cross referenced to a data base of readings and patterns.
O & H Holden has an extensive spare parts department and stock a wide range of both Genuine and non-genuine parts for retail and trade sales. We offer a full range of Holden and HSV merchandise. Our Parts Manager has over 30 years experience and is well equipped to locate any part that you may require.
Trade enquires are welcome and we can organise transport to the required destination and all this at a very competitive price. We have a number of distributors that we can source Genuine parts from and as a result most can be an over night delivery. Oaten & Hoffman are the Local NRMA Country Service centre offering all your NRMA needs. From Road service to any insurance enquiry or purchases. NRMA insurances are competitive priced and nationally backed. We can organise CTP, comprehensive car insurance, house and contents insurance, business insurance, and now even rental insurance to help protect your investment. We offer 24Hr. roadside assistance. (Roadside assistance.) If you breakdown or even if you are simply having difficulties, we can send a qualified patrolman out to your property, or wherever you happen to be at the time, for a quick and accurate diagnosis most of the time. For NRMA road service members this service will be at no cost to you. To non-members there will be a fee that will depend on where the vehicle is, when the problem occurs and other variable factors that can be explained upon enquiry.
Should we be unable to get your car operational on the side of the road we operate a 24Hr a day towing option. For members of the NRMA this tow will be of no cost, and for non members there will be a fee that can be quoted to you when the times comes.

We also offer a 24HR battery replacement service. If your car wont start and you require a new battery, just call us and we can supply and fit a brand new NRMA battery any time of the day or night, 365 days a year and the fitment is free. (Subject to NRMA membership and location).
Oaten & Hoffman is an agent for the Sale and service of Davey Pumps. We stock a wide variety of pumps and pump parts and have a wealth of knowledge in the diagnosis and repair of pumps and pump systems. We can provide on site repair in most cases and our expertise is not limited to Davey pumps but any Make or model of pump including Sub-mercable pumps and windmills.
